OhMyGosh! It was soooo cold when we ventured out to do this session in the snow. The high yesterday was 26 degrees, and my hands felt it for sure. Stephanie contacted me about doing her senior cuts and when I mentioned snow, she jumped at the idea. We met up and she brought along her friend Becca (who has now sat in on two sessions with me) and we all froze together. This first picture shows that we made the best of it though :)
I met Amber this afternoon down by the train station. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful, but chilly, day. As we started walking into the shade, it felt like the temperature dropped 10 degrees. Amber was brave though. We did lots of shots outside, with her wearing short sleeves. She’d put on her coat between shots and wear a hoodie in some of them, but I know she was still cold. We had a pretty good time walking around the new riverfront area, and then we headed to her church’s gym to set up the mini studio. She loved my new backdrop, and so did I! Fun times at Ritter Park. I did baby Blair’s newborn pics about 4 months ago and now it was time for an updated family pic, since there had been none since any children have joined the family :) Jules was all about running and playing at the park. Not so much for posing (except in 5 second spurts) The leaves did catch his attention more than anything else I think. And of course, swinging from mommy and daddy. So, on to the pics.
Baby C’s mom and I go way back, like kindergarten way back. We’ve been buds forever and now she’s got a little one that I got to take pictures of. We had a good time, talked a lot, and Baby C was content as long as she had the pacifier. We got it away from her a bunch of times, and she slept for a little while too. I’ve not blogged in a long time. Bad Valarie! So here I am. My husband’s work schedule has changed a couple times, so now my work days are Wednesdays. We’ve gone several places over the past couple months and occasionally run out of things to photograph, then get new ideas again. Some of my favorites from the past couple weeks.
